Hylands Park

The Hylands Estate is a prestigious grade II* listed public park. Set in 232 hectares; 574 acres of historic parkland for all the family to enjoy, it is open to the public all year round with ample car parking.

Within the park there are formal Victorian Gardens and ancient woodlands that are accessible as well as an award-winning accessible children’s Adventure Playground.

Dogs are welcome in Hylands Park provided they are under control. They are permitted in the Pleasure Gardens area if on a lead. Please note the One World Garden and the Adventure Playground are dog free zones. Dog waste bins are located around the park.

Regular and seasonal events take place within the House and the Park, including Race for Life and the annual Creamfields music festival. It is also home to Green Earth Learning Forest School and Hawthorn Heavy Horses.  Fitness classes run by Essex Bootcamp and British Military Fitness also take place in the Park.  So, whether you visit for one of our programmed events or simply for a walk in the magnificent parkland you are sure of a memorable visit.

Hylands House set within the estate, is a beautifully renovated Neo-Classical elegant villa and as with the Grand Pavilion it can be hired for any occasion including Weddings, Celebrations and Business Events and is open to the public on select days. The Stables house a café, visitor centre and resident artist studios.
