Following the Government’s decision for the country to go into a further lockdown; Chelmsford City Council has now closed its outdoor facilities, e.g. 3G’s, astroturfs, hard courts and outside gyms in it’s parks, alongside Government guidelines.
While parks, equipped play areas and public toilets will remain open for general use by local residents, the advice is to exercise locally to where you live and not to travel unnecessarily to other parts of the City.
Did you know that there are a number of outdoor boot camps and exercise classes taking place in our parks and anyone up for a fitness challenge is welcome to join in. All you need to do is contact them directly to get all the details.
Many of our parks have outdoor sports facilities and pitches available for hire, or use free exercise equipment in the outdoor gyms found in some of our parks. Keep your body and mind fit and healthy!
Check out our Green Spaces or Events pages to see what things there are to do in your local Chelmsford park.
