A team from Woodland Group based in Chelmsford recently came out to Galleywood Common to help with restoring Heather to this lowland heath site. This is what they had to say…

“I’m very pleased to say a group of 11 staff from our Chelmsford office spent the morning volunteering at Galleywood Common, helping to protect and restore the native heather. The Park’s staff gave fantastic guidance and were very supportive of all abilities and knowledge. We all had a fantastic time and from the feedback I’ve had I know the team is keen to get the gloves back on and get out there again soon!

A massive thank you to the Parks Department for hosting the session and also to the Woodlanders who took part in the morning’s activities. We hope to make this the first of many sessions with the Parks Department to support the fantastic work they are doing here in Chelmsford.”
