Saturday 18 February saw a nice warm spring like afternoon at the ponds, along with 22 volunteers who came to help.  Lots of job were completed including laying road scrapings onto the parking area, a new hibernaculum (picture below), coppicing, hedge trimming, general clearance, litter pick and a light grass cut.

This year we are hoping to build up a better picture of the flora and fauna we have on site so beginning at our March session, we will be making a record of anything seen. Keep your eyes peeled and you may be surprised at what you can find.

New volunteers are always welcome so if you would like to get involved, visit our website: https://www.marconiponds.co.uk/ and find out how.

Our next session will be on Saturday the 16 March.
