Chelmsford City Council is welcoming three brand-new, high-tech vehicles to our Street Care fleet to help keep our city clean and looking its best. But there’s one thing missing—they need names!
From 1 July to 31 July, we’re inviting Chelmsford residents to get creative and suggest names for:
- Two Johnston VT652 Road Sweepers
- One powerful Kilowhale Jet Vac Tanker
We’re looking for names that are fun, creative, and inspired by Chelmsford—so let your imagination run wild!

If your suggestion is chosen by our panel of judges, you’ll win:
- A £50 Love2Shop voucher
- The chance to take part in a winner’s photoshoot with the newly named vehicles
How to Enter
To take part, simply complete our online entry form.
You’ll be asked to:
- Enter your postcode and email address to confirm Chelmsford residency
- Submit up to three unique name ideas
