Springfield Hall Park

Springfield Hall Park is a much-treasured piece of public open space in the residential Springfield area of Chelmsford.  Located north of the city centre, with the River Chelmer on its west side, this park provides good facilities for people to enjoy sports, to walk and to observe nature through the turning seasons. The site also provides facilities for allotment gardeners and the younger at heart in the form of a well-equipped children’s play area.

The park is home to Springfield Football Club and hosts numerous matches as well as training sessions. It is also popular with dog walkers and fishing is available on the River Chelmer.

The park has good walking and cycling links direct to the city centre, alongside the River Chelmer and through Chelmer Valley Nature Reserve.
