17 parks awarded Green Flag status in Chelmsford
For yet another year running 17 of Chelmsford City Council’s parks have been recognised by the Green Flag Award scheme, as some of the best in the country.
Chelmsford’s parks help to create a better quality of life for all those that use them and offer everything for residents from sports facilities, to ornamental gardens and Local Nature Reserves. Open spaces have been crucial to all of us in the last few years with the pandemic and this award reflects the hard work the parks volunteers and parks staff have put in to maintain them to the highest standard. Paul Todd from Keep Britain Tidy who award the Flags commented “I would like to congratulate everyone involved in making Chelmsford’s parks worthy of a Green Flag Award. These awards are testament to all the hard work of staff and volunteers who do so much to ensure they maintain the high standards demanded by the Green Flag award.”
