Counting Butterflies
Chelmsford City Parks are supporting The Big Butterfly Count, a UK-wide survey to help assess the health of our environment simply by counting the amount and type of butterflies and day-flying moths that we see around us.
The count starts on Friday 15 July and will run until Sunday 7 August.
It’s easy to get involved and help out by spotting butterflies and moths in your garden, local park or green space. Just visit https://bigbutterflycount.butterfly-conservation.org for more information and to get involved.
It’s a great free activity for all the family and will help make a real difference for conservation while having fun in the open air.
