The Chelmsford District is home to an abundance of waterways, including four rivers.
Our rivers play an important role in our environment. They provide a home for wildlife, whilst people live on the water too. We use them for recreation and depend on them for our drinking water.
Dumped waste and litter pollutes, harms and looks dirty.
Fortunately, the Chelmsford District has a community of people that are willing to help protect and clean up waste materials from the water’s edge, the water’s surface and even the water’s bed.
