Tower Gardens Gardener
Autumn has officially arrived in Tower Gardens.
The last few weeks have seen a real change in the gardens. The last of the flowering plants of summer (Asters, Delphiniums, etc) have been making their final blooms and trees and shrubs such as Pyracantha and Holly are starting to produce their autumn fruit. This comes in the form of berries which is a great source of food for many different bird species! We also have some amazing autumn colours on the trees as the leaves turn shades of red, orange and yellow.
Hylands Head Gardener
Autumn has now arrived and there has been plenty of rain falling in the park over the past few weeks. Despite the wet weather there have been some lovely autumn colours in the park.
In the Pleasure Gardens we have been busy planting the formal winter/spring bedding plants and I would like to thank all the garden volunteers who have helped with this.
Presently we are also renovating the Hanbury Memorial Garden.
