Who wouldn’t want to be spending a nice day out in the sunshine growing your own vegetables and fruit while socialising with other plot holders.
Each allotment site in Chelmsford is different, they come in all shapes and sizes, some of the smaller ones are hidden away between houses and you wouldn’t even know they were there. Our bigger allotment sites have Associations that help current and upcoming tenants with their allotments and site maintenance.
In the summer you really get to see the allotments thrive with a variety of lovely fruit and vegetables and you may even be able to spot some wildlife. It’s a great day out with the family in your own outdoor space connecting with nature.
It’s a fun and educational experience, especially for tenants who have not got their own gardens, and is a perfect opportunity for them to grow, learn and relax just like it would be having your own garden.
